This Week at the Library - May 1st to May 5th

This Saturday is the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo (the Fifth of May).  Contrary to what many people believe, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's Independence day; rather, it celebrates the victory of the Mexican army over a larger French force in 1862.  Today Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in the United States as an expression of Mexican heritage and pride.

Do you have any plans to celebrate Cinco de Mayo?  We're going to have a fiesta at the library on Friday, so be sure to stop by!

Tuesday, May 1st: T.A.B. from 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Don't miss the first Teen Advisory Board meeting of the month!

Wednesday, May 2nd: The Library will be open from 1:00pm to 8:00pm

Thursday, May 3rd: Gaming Club from 2:45 to 5:00pm
PCs, Playstation, Wii, XBox, and more!

Friday, May 4th: Fiesta at the Library from 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo early with a fiesta at the library!  There'll be food, games, and fun for all.

Saturday, May 5th: the Library will be open from 10:00am to 3:00pm
