Author Visit--Caragh O'Brien

 

Caragh O'Brien, author of the YA-Dystopian novel "Birthmarked" will be visiting the Booth & Dimock Memorial Library as part of the Connecticut Author's Trail on July 28th from 6:30pm -7:30pm

"Birthmarked" is the first in a planned trilogy and has been chosen by the YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults, the ALA Amelia Bloomer Project, and the Texas Tayshas Reading List, and honored as a Junior Library Guild Selection. Rights have sold for the book in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain and China. Recently resigned from teaching English at Tolland High School.

Ms. O'Brien now writes full-time from her home in Storrs, Connecticut.

The second book in the trilogy, "Prized", is due out in November, 2011.
Copies of the Book are available at the Booth & Dimock Memorial Library. Ms. O'Brien will also be selling and autographing copies on July 28th.
