Hi Everyone!
I’m the new Head of Teen Services at the Booth and Dimock Memorial Library. My name is Kristi Sadowski and I am very excited to be in Coventry and am looking forward to meeting everyone. Stop by to say “Hello,” next time you are at the library.

Also, if you’re heading to the Captain Nathan Hale Middle School in the Fall and haven’t read your Nutmeg Book, consider coming to the library to join us in reading The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd where you can…

Finish One of Your Summer Reading Books in One Day!

The event will take place on August 19, 2010 starting at 10:30. It should take around 6 hours to read the book and lunch will be provided. Please call the library at 860-742-7606 to register.

To kick off my first Booth & Dimock Teen Spot Blog Post I thought I would share a quick review of the book I just finished.

Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen

Auden has just graduated high school, as valedictorian of course, and has decided to spend the summer with her father, his new wife and their newborn baby. Auden had never really had friends or a social life. But the summer takes an unexpected turn and Auden finds herself sitting in a pink office managing the accounts for a store employed by girls who seem to only talk about clothes and boys.

Not simply a summer romance or a coming of age story, this book is a subtle journey of self-discovery, growing up, repairing relationships and shows that people can always surprise you.
