Kite Runner is the story of an Afghan boy named Amir. He has a servant named Hassan and they enter a kite flying contest. Hassan gets assaulted in an alleyway and it changes their youth forever. They grow up and go through the difficulties of life being Afghan.
I rated this book a 3.5 out of 5 because although well written. I didn't particularly care for the graphic events that took place. It was a sad book. I liked it because of character development. This is why I rated The Kite Runner a 3.5.
