Wednesday, July 18th: The Library will be open from 1:00pm to 8:00pm.

Thursday, July 19th: The Library will be open from 10:00am to 8:00pm.

Friday, July 20th: DubStep Creation from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Use computer software to mix sounds and make your own music!

Saturday, July 21st: The Library will be open from 10:00am to 3:00pm

This Week at the Library: July 3rd to July 7

Even with sweltering heat outside, the Library is cool and refreshing!  Don't forget to take a look at our Summer reading section, located right in front of the Teen Services Desk.

Tuesday, July 3rd: Gaming Club from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
It's the first Gaming Club meeting of the Summer.  If you're not a member, pick up a signup sheet at the Teen Services desk.

Wednesday, July 4th: The Library will be closed for Independence Day.

Thursday, July 5th: The Library will be open from 10:00am to 8:00pm.

Friday, July 6th: Make Your Own Dream Journals
Make a journal to record your dreams, and learn a little bit about what they might mean.

Saturday, July 7th: The Library will be open from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

10:00am - 12:00pm: Members Only access to the Book Sale.
12:00pm - 8:00pm: Free public admission to the Book Sale.

Friday, April 27th - Book Sale
1:00pm - 6:00pm: Free public admission to the Book Sale.

Saturday, April 28th - Book Sale, T.A.B. Bake Sale, and Living History Exhibit
10:00am - 12:00pm: Free public admission to the Book Sale.

10:00am - 3:00pm: Living History Exhibit
In honor of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, Company F 14th Connecticut volunteer infantry will be here in period costume.  They will set up camp, cook their noontime meals, and demonstrate military drills and rifle firing.  There will be period children's games, costumed civilians on hand to describe life on the home front, and battlefield medical care.  Be sure not to miss this, as it's sure to be an exciting and fun event!

Where:  Booth & Dimock Memorial Library

Coventry Youth Services and the Booth & Dimock Memorial Library have teamed up again, this time to bring grades 6 through 8 a night of after-hours fun at the Library! Pizza, laser tag, and movies or games! Registration is required and space is limited, so pick up your forms through Coventry Human Services or at the Library!

Well, this week is Teen Tech Week!  Think about all the ways you can use technology to express your creativity and personality.  It's never too early to think about the future, and there are countless great careers that center on technology.  From architects to software engineers to video game designers, there are lots of very successful people in the world who started off with nothing but a dream.  And besides, dreaming is free, so why not do it?

March is finally here!  They say that in terms of weather, March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a lamb...but let's hope it stays more on the lamb side of things all the way through!  By the way, we get an extra day this year as it's a Leap Year.  What do you plan on doing with your extra day?

The New Year celebrations aren't over yet!  This Wednesday is Chinese New Year!  Ring in the year of the Dragon with us at the library!

Join us as we celebrate Chinese New Year!  We'll be sampling simple Chinese food and creating traditional Chinese crafts.
