Great Scavenger Hunt Contest
How It Works:
(1) Read a book off of the Great Scavenger Hunt Contest List
You Can Find Books:
- From the list on the Booth & Dimock Memorial Library Webpage.
- Search the Booth & Dimock Memorial Library Catalog for the keyword: "GreatScavengerHunt" (no spaces!!!)
- Look for books in the Teen Zone with a Great Scavenger Hunt Contest Sticker--Right now they are on display in the clear rack in the Teen Zone.
- On the Official Webpage
(2) Complete the 10 Question Trivia Challenge for that Book.
(3) Bring Your Completed Trivia Challenge to the Teen Librarian.
If you answer 8 out of the 10 questions correctly, the Teen Librarian will enter you in the Great Scavenger Hunt Contest. Every month 1 Winner is drawn from all of the entries submitted. That winner receives a $50 Gift Card to a Book Store of their choice. The winner's library receives a tote bag full of brand new books for the library.
(4) Hunt Down A New Book and Start Reading.
The Great Scavenger Hunt Contest is a program sponsored by YA Author Kay Cassidy, author of The Cinderella Society. Libraries across the country participate and new books are added monthly. Each book is added by it's respective author. The Contest is for readers age 8-19. Middle Grade and Tween books are listed on the complete list on the Booth & Dimock Memorial Library Webpage and on the Official Webpage. Contact the Teen Librarian with any questions.
