Teen Reviews
Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer
I just finished this book in exactly 3 days. I was glued to it within the first few pages. I read to about one in the morning each night. It is a story of heartthrob and a new way of thinking of how good we actually have it because a meteor can hit the moon one day and knock it into the the earths atmosphere. It was very scary at points but definitely fantabulous read.It will keep you thinking and interested until the final page. Beautifully written as well. - Nate, grade 7.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
This book was very exciting and there was something new and surprising at every chapter that made so I could never put the book down. The beginning really interested me and the whole book led up to the unbelievable ending.
- Andrew, grade 7.
The Originals by Cat Patrick
This is a fantastic book. It has romance, mystery and suspense. The author is really a great writer and has written another book I loved called Revived. It is really a wonderful book which is definitely worth a read. - Julia, grade 8.
Shatter Me by Tahareh Mafi
Shatter Me is a heart wrenching look at a possible future and at human nature itself. The powers of the main character gives the story a entirely new depth.
-Tami, grade 10.
Smile by Raina Telgemeier
Smile is a "hooking" graphic novel, as most graphic novels are, but I REALLY loved this one!!! It was all about an accident a girl named Raina had that involved her knocking out her two front teeth while needing braces. Raina was ALWAYS worrying about how her teeth looked, as I usually am with my clothes!!:) This book told all about the twists and turns of true friends, siblings, accidents, beauty, Raina's crushes, and most of all what it is to stop worrying and SMILE!:)
-Bridget, grade 6.
The Alchemist by Michael Scott
This book starts of a series about two 15 year old twins as they embark on a journey to discover their magical potential with the help of an immortal Alchemist who was born in 1330. -Patrick, grade 12.
