Each week this summer, the Teen Zone will be giving away a free advanced reader's copy (ARC--book yet to be published) signed by the author. All you have to do to be eligible is log your reading here.
This week the Signed Book Give Away is EAT BRAINS LOVE by Jeff Hart.
Necrotizing (turning into Zombies) in their school Cafeteria, Jake and Amanda, the gamer and the cheerleader respectively, are now on the run from a government agency determined to rid the world of Zombies...or worse. On their action and snack filled road trip they have only each other on which to rely.
Cass is a teenage psychic and a member of that government agency. She is in Jake's head and must lead her team to the zombie duo. Only, she has found a better way of spending her days.
Genre: Zombie Romance--big on action and gore--slightly hilarious.
Recommended for fans of Warm Bodies and Hold Me Closer, Necromancer

Yesterday, one of the Teen Librarians went to CNHMS to talk about summer reading. One of the big questions that came up was about the FREE eBooks you can borrow from the Library!
The Teen Zone has a webpage just to tell you about the downloadable library resources.
Overdrive requires your library card number and a password. If you have questions about this, contact the Library and we will help you out. You can download eBooks and audiobooks to your eReaders, MP3 player, phone, computer, tablet and other devices. They can be borrowed for up to three weeks.

Teen Review: Formerly Shark Girl
Formerly Shark Girl is an amazing and inspiring book. The clever use of poetic form leaves the readers captivated, even if it feels a bit awkward at first. Overlook this however, and you will subtly find a rhythm in the book. Jane's story is one of strength, which is conveyed very well by the author's words. At points in the story I felt that the characters were, in a physical sense, described to vaguely, which was troubling. Despite this, the character's personalities shone throughout the story, which, as a vital part of the story, tied everything together and brought it to life.
-A Review by Tami L.
Formerly Shark Girl and the prequel, Shark Girl are available at the Booth & Dimock Memorial Library.
